DreamerLab (“DreamerLab”, “we”, “us” or “our”) built the DreamerLab app as a freemium photo editing app. This page explains what information the DreamerLab app and website collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. Your DreamerLab account also works in our other apps that use the same account, so your account information is available to them. Terms used here have the same meaning as in our Terms of Service.

The short version

  • Your edits stay on your phone. My Edits is not synced to the cloud.
  • A photo is sent to our servers only when you use a feature that needs them. It is used to create your result and nothing else.
  • We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t use your photos to train AI models.
  • Where the law requires it, ads are personalised only with your consent, and you can change your choice in Settings.
  • You can delete your account from Settings at any time.

1. Information we collect

Account information

When you sign in with Google, Apple or Discord, we receive your name, email address, profile photo and the account identifier of that service, and we create a DreamerLab account ID for you. If you use Apple’s “Hide My Email”, we receive the relay address instead of your email. We also record which logins are connected to your account.

Balances and purchases

We keep your Credits and Power balances and your DreamerLab Pro status. When you buy a subscription or a pack, Apple or Google processes the payment and we receive a record of the purchase and its status. We never receive your payment card details.

Photos you choose to edit

The app opens only the photos you pick from your library or take with the camera. Most editing happens on your device. Some features send the photo to our servers, as explained in section 3.

Face information

Several tools find faces and facial landmarks, such as the eyes, lips and face outline, so they can place an edit correctly. This is done on your device with Google ML Kit and MediaPipe and, for some features, on our servers as part of processing your photo. We use face information only to apply the edit you asked for. We do not use it to identify you or anyone else, we do not build face profiles, and we do not keep it after the edit is made.

Device and usage information

When the app talks to our servers, our systems record technical information such as your IP address, device and operating system type, app version, the time of each request and any error that occurred. The ad networks we use collect device information and advertising identifiers, as described in section 5.

Information you send us

If you email us, we keep your message and email address so we can reply. If you report an AI Portrait in the app, we receive the style it was made with, the reason you chose and your account ID, so we can review the style. The image itself is not sent.

2. How we use information

  • To provide the Services: signing you in, keeping your balances and Pro status, processing edits and AI Portraits, and restoring purchases.
  • To charge and refund Credits and Power, and to verify purchases and rewarded ads.
  • To show ads in the free version and measure how they perform.
  • To keep the Services secure, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our Terms, including checks that block prohibited content.
  • To fix problems and improve how the Services work.
  • To answer your questions and send important notices about your account.
  • To comply with the law.

3. Your photos and AI processing

On your device. Works in My Edits, with their layers and editing history, are saved only on your phone, separately for each account. They are not uploaded or synced. Uninstalling the app or clearing its data removes them.

On our servers. Some features need more computing power than a phone has, for example Remover, Hair, AI Skin, Expression, Body and AI Portraits. When you use one, the app sends the photo over an encrypted connection to our server on Google Cloud. For most of these features, the photo is then processed on GPU servers that we rent from cloud GPU providers, and the result is sent back to your app.

AI Portraits. When you generate an AI Portrait, your selfie and the chosen style are sent to:

  • OpenRouter, which passes them to an AI model (currently xAI’s Grok) that adapts the style’s description to your selfie, for example to your hair and outfit; and
  • OpenAI, which creates the portrait image.

These providers process your selfie under their own terms and privacy policies and may keep it for a limited time, for example to monitor abuse.

What we keep. We use a submitted photo only to create the result you asked for. We do not keep photos on our Google Cloud server, and temporary copies on our GPU servers are deleted within 7 days. We do not use your photos or edits to train AI models.

4. Service providers

We use trusted companies to run the Services. They receive only the information they need for the tasks below and may not use it for any other purpose. Each has its own privacy policy:

ProviderWhat it does
Google Firebase and Google CloudSign-in, account database (balances, Pro status, connected logins), servers that process your requests
Google Sign-In, Sign in with Apple, DiscordSigning in to your account
Apple App Store, Google PlayPayments, subscriptions and refunds
RevenueCatKeeping track of subscriptions and purchases across your devices
Google AdMob, with AppLovin, Meta Audience Network and PangleAds in the free version, consent management, rewarded ads
OpenAICreating AI Portraits
OpenRouter and xAIAdapting AI Portrait styles to your selfie
Cloud GPU providersRunning the AI models behind Remover, Hair and other server features
CloudflareDelivering style covers, fonts and other downloadable content

We also share information when the law requires it, to protect the safety and rights of our users and others (for example, we report child sexual abuse material to NCMEC and law enforcement), and with a buyer or successor if DreamerLab is sold or reorganised.

We do not sell your personal information. When ads are personalised, our ad partners may use your device’s advertising identifier to show you relevant ads, which some laws treat as “sharing”. You can turn this off as described below.

5. Ads and your choices

  • In the EEA, the UK, Switzerland and US states with privacy laws, the app asks for your consent through Google’s consent message before ads are personalised.
  • You can review or change your choice at any time in Settings → Ad privacy choices.
  • On iPhone, you can allow or deny tracking when asked, and change this later in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
  • On Android, you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings.
  • DreamerLab Pro removes ads.

The app asks for access to your photos and camera only when you use them. You can change these permissions at any time in your device settings.

6. How long we keep data

  • Account information, balances and Pro status: for as long as your account exists.
  • Photos sent for processing: not kept on our Google Cloud server; temporary copies on GPU servers are deleted within 7 days.
  • Server logs: for a limited period, for security and troubleshooting.
  • Purchase records: as long as we need them for accounting and legal obligations.
  • My Edits: on your device until you delete them or the app.

7. Security

We value your trust in providing us your information, and we use commercially acceptable means to protect it. Connections between the app and our servers are encrypted, requests are checked against your signed-in account, and access to our systems is limited. But remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

8. International transfers

Our servers and many of our providers are in the United States, and our GPU servers and providers may operate in other countries. Your information may therefore be processed outside the country where you live. When we transfer information, we rely on our providers’ legal safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, to object to or limit how we use it, and to withdraw consent you have given. To make a request, email us from the address linked to your account. We will reply within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

10. Children’s privacy

DreamerLab is intended for users aged 13 and over and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, or under the minimum age set by local law where it is higher. If we learn that we have collected such information, we delete it. If you are a parent or guardian and you know your child has given us personal information, please contact us so we can take the necessary action.

Users aged 13 to 17 should use DreamerLab, and make any purchases, only with the permission of a parent or legal guardian.

11. This website

This website does not use cookies or analytics. It remembers your language choice in your browser’s local storage, and it loads fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when you visit.

The Services may link to other sites. If you click a third-party link, you will be directed to that site, which we do not operate. We strongly advise you to review the privacy policy of any site you visit. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies or practices of third-party sites or services.

12. Account and data deletion

  1. Open the DreamerLab app and go to Settings.
  2. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
  3. Tap Request deletion to confirm.

Your account is permanently deleted 7 days after you submit the request. This deletes your account, your connected logins, Credits and Power, including in our other apps that use the same account. Works in My Edits stay on your phone until you delete the app. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription: cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account first. You can also ask us to delete your account by email: see Delete your account.

13. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, so please review this page periodically. We will post the new version here with a new date and, for significant changes, try to notify you in the app.
